Ok, so when a wire is live or active…i.e., there is electricity flowing through it…you can say that “the wire is hot”. Yesterday, as I was leaving the barrio I saw this scene which brought a whole new vivid image to the expression. The electrical “work” or make-shift-electrical-rigging in the barrio is suspect at best (ok, so we don’t pay for the electricity yet) and this image of the wiring and the corresponding fuego kinda provided a good case study for Barrio Electrical 101…if such a class exists.

Wow!!! Spectacular images, indeed. I would suggest that the code requirements in DR differ significantly from those in Canada.
