The Ministry of Youth is currently going through some structural changes. For a while we’ve been working with the youth of this community, Maria Auxiliadora, but we felt from God that we needed to take time in prayer to seek for a clearer vision on how we will work with young people.
August 6, 2009, we will be holding camp for the youths of this community, María Auxiliadora to kick start the youth ministry. Our plan, God-willing, is to have a ministry in the streets. God is encouraging us to take christians to the streets, rather than doing things in a building, to be on street living the gospel of Jesus Christ everyday. This is our prayer and our focus for this year, help us with this work, if you have ideas that might prove useful to us, please send them my way.
In the children department of the El Camino Church, we are working on Saturdays at 4pm where we get from 80 to 150 children from our community, plagued by the needs and surrounded by kinds of bad habits, but we are teaching them the Bible to show them there is something more to it than the reality they face each day and that they can be better.
We are currently holding an activity where we only allow children of parents who attend church on Sunday morning with the goal that they’re be more focused on learning. We are starting with this activity and this will help more people to attend to church because there’s a team of young people who will give their time to take care of children.
Fernando, Daniel, Obed and Bautista are working at the El Camino Church; our celebration together with our brothers and sisters of this congregation is on Sunday from 9:00-10:00am.
We are constantly praying for the unity of God’s people in Maria Auxiliadora. There three different christian churches in this barrio. All with a different approach. It is our desire to work together in our community.

“Es abundante la cosecha —les dijo—, pero son pocos los obreros. Pídanle, por tanto, al Señor de la cosecha que mande obreros a su campo.” Lucas 10:2
Orando por El Camino para que el Senor continue mostrandoles la via de hacer Su Palabra conocida por todos.
