Zion Lutheran Church

With less than half their luggage a team of 27 arrived in the Capital on Monday from Anaheim, California.

This first time team is a really hard working team and a lot of fun. They were also very enthusiastic as we did a few competitions around town for the opening orientation.

We’ve been keeping them busy these past few days with two work projects. One, a complete renovation of the church on 8th Street in the barrio, and the other, putting in a cement floor and shelves in the TEARS storage space.

Luckily all 33 of their missing suitcases are now here and they’re going full force on both work projects as well as running an afternoon sports camp! We’re very thankful to work together with this team. They have been a huge blessing to us and to the community we live and work in.

We are the very blessed and proud parents of one of the team members, Jessica. What a thrill to be able to not only see a photo of her, but also to hear the true pleasure in your postings and comments. The team and projects are in our daily thought and most importantly our prayers.Thank you for taking such good care of our team, our family…. Is it not just amazing how awesome our GOD truly is! Blessings to our new Dominican brothers and sisters. Much love, Jim and Janice gaye
