At the beginning of November, we had the pleasure of working with a medical team from Puerto Rico. This was their 3rd trip since I’ve been working with T.E.A.R.S., and they are one of my favorite groups to work with. The doctors and assistants have HUGE hearts and work hard to bless different local communities with medical care and (more…)
When I heard that we had a sick student from TEARS School that was in desperate need of O+ blood, I volunteered immediately to give her some of mine. It wasn’t until we were on our way there that I began to remember that I hate needles with a passion! I’ve never donated blood before, so this was a unique experience all around. Several people have mentioned recently that I should blog my thoughts on different books that I’m reading. I am (more…)

For the last year or so, I have been set up to do my work for TEARS from my home. This was a great arrangement at the end of my pregnancy and when Mia was a newborn, but as Mia got older, it got harder and harder to work and keep up with her!!
